
Roser Monforte
Bachelor of Music at the ESEM Taller de Músics, in the saxophone specialty, he begins to study music at the age of 14 at the EMM Olesa de Montserrat, with Oriol Camprodon and begins to participate in musical formations such as the Big Band of the EMM of Olesa de Montserrat, among others.
He has studied with professors such as Perico Sambeat, Jon Robles, Gabriel Amargant, Ramon Cardo, Vicenç Solsona, David Pastor, etc.
He currently directs JAZZ DO IT and AFROCATALAN OMELET SOUL BAND.
He is a member of the Original Jazz Orchestra (OJO) of the Taller de Músics, with performances by reputable artists such as Martirio, Soledad Jiménez, Fermín Muguruza, Jorge Pardo, Cris Juanico, Fundación Tony Manero, La Mala Rodríguez, Big Mama, Antonio Zambujo or Santiago Auserón.
He has worked in numerous bands and groups of diverse styles. Most relevant: Makarra Funk, The Corte Moderno Musical Set, Möek (Mediterranean and Balkan Music), Om Tara Project (jazz / Hindu music), or with Sardinian songwriter Carlo Donneddu.
In terms of theater, she was a member of the Comediants Theater Company, in the Demon Show, with performances around the world such as Taiwan, Romania or Belgium.
He has participated in recognized festivals such as the Donosti Jazz Festival, the SOS Festival in Murcia, the Grec Festival in Barcelona or the Barcelona Connexions Festival. And he has performed in renowned theaters and theaters such as the Palau de la Música Catalana, The Greek Theater in Barcelona, the Auditorium or the O2 stadium in London.
